Residents and visitors to the Lake Taneycomo area get to enjoy all 4 seasons. The daytime tempratures in summer average in the upper 80's to the low90's with the average over-nite low in the mid 60's. Fall generally arrives around mid-october and the fall foilage of the Ozarks draws huge crowds with its splendid aray of colors. Winters are generally mild here, although a brisk "norther" can put the chill on for up to a week at a time.

Extreemly cold weather is normally short lived here, as average January highs run in the 40's. The area receives around 42" of rainfall yearly and about a total of 12 inches of snow. While the average date of the last spring frost is April 15, warm spring weeks get started here by early March, and so does some of the best fishing of the year.
